“Avoid Arrogance, Stay Firm on Principles”

Addressing the newly commissioned officers, the Air Chief cautioned against the twin dangers of arrogance and ignorance. He emphasized that military leaders must remain rooted in core principles while constantly adapting to evolving warfare dynamics.

He highlighted that victory in modern conflicts depends on the ability to create and sustain asymmetry, an advantage that is increasingly easier to generate in emerging operational domains.

Technology as the Decisive Force Multiplier

Underlining technology as the defining factor in future wars, the CAS stressed the urgent need to pursue:

  • AI-driven data fusion
  • Man–Unmanned Teaming (MUM-T)
  • Autonomous and unmanned combat systems
  • Cognitive and information domain operations

He noted that mastery over these capabilities would shape India’s combat effectiveness in the years ahead.

Op Sindoor & the Vision of JAI

Referring to Operation Sindoor, Air Chief Marshal Singh described it as a living testament to the Indian Air Force’s unparalleled professionalism. He said such operations are part of a larger continuum guided by the philosophy of JAI:

JJointness
AAtmanirbharta
IInnovation

According to him, this triad will decisively shape the future combat power of the Indian armed forces.

“Serve Boldly, Lead Fearlessly”

In his concluding message, the Air Chief urged the young officers to serve with courage and lead with conviction, carrying forward the legacy of excellence of the Indian Air Force.

An Emotionally Charged Grand Finale

The parade culminated with a stirring slow march by the newly commissioned officers in two columns, accompanied by resonant martial tunes.

In a rare and symbolic moment, Air Chief Marshal AP Singh himself flew and led a three-aircraft Kiran formation over the parade ground as the officers received their first salute from their immediate juniors.

The grand finale featured breathtaking synchronized aerial displays by the Sarang Helicopter Display Team and the Suryakiran Aerobatic Team (SKAT), leaving spectators spellbound.

Why This Event Matters

This address reflects India’s strategic shift towards future-ready warfare driven by technology, joint operations and indigenous innovation. The emphasis on AI, unmanned systems and cognitive dominance signals the IAF’s preparedness to meet emerging security challenges.
